    Not included in the costs is the negative impact putting an event like this on a cost-inefficient temporary circuit in a supposedly public park, is the fact sporting clubs kicked out of the park lose heaps in social club activities etc and have to move to other areas to play and practice. For months! So much for making it easier for people to keep fitter and encourage kids to play sport. Isn’t that what Albert Park is meant to be for – not free land for a biiionaire to make more.Why was no other option for staging the Fi gp considered and why did it take an Act of Parliament (the Grand Prix Act) to force it there. So much for a democratic country!
