    What about across-suburb travel?

    What’s the point? I think that the prospect of autonomous road vehicles, including driverless flexible-on-demand bus services can do a lot of the connecting and delivery of people. Look at the UITP’s strategic paper ‘UITP Policy Brief – Autonomous Vehicles (paper LQ 20160116)’ published early this year gives an excellent discussion of emerging trends in road and public transport.
