The Victorian and Federal governments have different strategies for Melbourne Airport rail but there’s a lot more to the transport task than a train to the CBD

  1. Horst (Oz) Kayak says:

By 2051 smart automated dedicated allocation of travel space for people and freight will be the norm. Existing rail and road space will be allocated to meet the system capacity needs of movement for people and products.
In 2051 the travel space will be allocated and a permit to travel issued before any trip is generated. A bit like a ticket on a plane or train, watch footy at an oval or to gain entry into a gallery or theatre in 2017.
Of course there will be a cost, to be allowed to make each and every full trip in 2051 from origin to destination.
